Round 1, Philanthropy
Wednesday & Thursday, August 30-31
Also known as the first round of recruitment, Philanthropy Night allows chapters to explain their philanthropic work, who they raise money for, and why they are passionate about it! This is an introduction from the chapters to give you a little insight about who they are.
Format: During Round 1, PNMs will visit all 4 chapters for 30 minutes each. The majority of the conversation will center around the chapter, philanthropy they support, and service they do.
Timing: You will either attend Wednesday or Thursday night (not both). You will need to be at Watkins by 5:15 PM and will be done before 9:30 PM.
Attire: This event is the most casual of all the rounds. CPC is will provide you with a t-shirt to wear. Pair it with cute bottoms (jeans, shorts, skirt) - whatever matches your style! Wear comfy shoes since you will be walking and moving.
Round 2, Sisterhood
Friday, September 1
Also known as the second round of recruitment, Sisterhood allows chapters the opportunity to explain what excites them about their sorority. This is your chance to ask them about involvement inside and outside of sorority life. During this round, each chapter you are invited back to is required to provide financial information for their own chapter.
Format: For Round Two, PNMs will visit with up to 3 chapters. Each round is 45 minutes long and will be in-person. These parties will allow for real time conversations with chapter members, and allow the PNM to ask active women questions about their specific chapter.
Timing: Parties will start at 5:00 PM this night. You will need to be in Watkins by 4:00 PM.
Attire: This round is cute but comfortable. Think what you would wear for a day out shopping with friends or a day date. Examples would be cute pants and a top, a romper, or a casual but nice dress. Look for more tips to come out over the summer from your recruitment counselors!
Day 3, Preference
Saturday, September 2
Also known as the third round of recruitment, Preference is a night for active women to explain why their chapter feels like home to them. This is a special night to the women inside the chapters because it is a sneak peak of their ritual!
Format: For Round Three, PNMs will visit with up to 2 chapters. Each round is an hour long and will be in-person. These parties will allow for real time conversations with chapter members, and allow the PNM to ask active women questions about their specific chapter. This is your last chance to ask any questions you might have for the chapter and decide if you could see yourself as a member of the organization.
Timing: Parties will start at 1:00 PM this day. You will need to be in Watkins by 12:00 PM.
Attire: This event is very special, so we suggest dressing up in your favorite dress and heels or sandals! Dress like you are going to sit-down dinner or banquet. Please refer to the picture on the right for more ideas.
BID DAY
Sunday, September 3
Also known as, THE BEST DAY! Bid Day is the day you get to run home to a group of women who are ready to welcome you with open arms.
Timing: 12:30 PM at the Football Stadium
Attire: Since it will be fairly hot, we suggest wearing athletic shorts! You will also need to wear a tank top underneath the t-shirt you are wear to Bid Day, so you can change into your NEW LETTERS!
